Sales of Tractor, Combines Continue to Slump

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," total sales of all U.S. tractors during October, 2024 were 21,354, down 14% from 2023.
Agri Marketing magazine reports that for the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 8% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 13%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 38%, while 4-wheel drive tractors
were even.
Total number of combines sold for the month were 516, down 35%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 15% from 2023, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 10%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 15%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 1%.
Total number of combines sold for the year are 4,977 a decrease of 23% over the same period in 2023.
