U.S. Tractor, Combine Sales Fell During May

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," the sale of all tractors during May 2025 in the U.S. were down 12% from the same month last year.
Agri Marketing magazine reports that a total of 21,192 tractors were sold which compares to 24,056 sold in 2024 during May 2025.
For the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 11% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 6%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 30%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 39%.
Combine sales in April totaled 317 down 21% from last year.
For the year, total tractor sales were down 13%. Smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 11%, 40 and under 100 HP are down 9% while 100+ HP are down 26%. Sales of 4-wheel drive tractors are down 13%.
Combine sales totaled 1,253 through May which is 43% below 2024.
