U.S. Tractor, Combine Sales Down From Last Year

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," total sales of all U.S. tractors during August 2024 were 16,831, down 19% from 2023.
Agri Marketing magazine reports that for the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 22% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 16%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 18%, while 4-wheel drive tractors
were up 5%.
Total number of combines sold for the month were 619, down 20%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 15% from 2023, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 9%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 8%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 5%.
Total number of combines sold for the year are 3,933 a decrease of 18% over the same period in 2023.
