Tractor, Combine Sales Continued Sluggish in September

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," total sales of all U.S. tractors during September, 2024 were 16,961, down 19% from 2023.
Agri Marketing magazine reports that for the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 21% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 11%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 26%, while 4-wheel drive tractors
were down 15%.
Total number of combines sold for the month were 530, down 41%.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) are down 15% from 2023, while 40 & under 100 HP are down 9%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP are down 11%, while 4-wheel drive tractors are up 2%.
Total number of combines sold for the year are 4,462 a decrease of 21% over the same period in 2023.
