U.S. Tractor, Combine Sales Were Off During 2024

According to the Association of Equipment Manufacturer's monthly "Flash Report," total sales of all U.S. tractors during December, 2024 were 16,970, down 11% from 2023.
Agri Marketing magazine reports that for the month, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 8% from last year, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 9%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 27%, while 4-wheel drive tractors
were down 28%.
Total number of combines sold for the month were 444, down 26% for the month.
For the year, two-wheel drive smaller tractors (under 40 HP) were down 14% from 2023, while 40 & under 100 HP were down 10%. Sales of 2-wheel drive 100+ HP were down 18%, while 4-wheel drive tractors were down 5%.
Total number of combines sold for the year are 5,564 a decrease of 24% over the same period in 2023.
